First Aid Advice
First aid advice is not always the easiest advice to find. Sure, there are people out there who always have something to say about first aid what should and should not be done, how to stop the bleeding, how to prevent infections and other various first aid advice out there, but how do you know who to trust, and who really knows what they are talking about when it comes to first aid advice, anyway?
The best first aid advice is always what your instinct tells you to do. If you are looking at a situation and you think that you should leave it alone and wait for more professional help, chances are that you are thinking along the right lines. Broken bones, fractures, and head injuries are just a few of the injuries that are better off left to the real professionals, and that is something that there is no doubt about. If you were to call 911, their first aid advice would be to make sure that the injured person is okay and comfortable, but they will send an ambulance to the site to make sure that things are okay.
Other than that, small cuts, scrapes, and burns are easily treatable using your basic first aid kit. The run of the mill first aid kit should always contain the basics, or at least the things that you know how to use properly as you will be glad you had them in the case of emergency. So many things around the house and work alone pose a risk that makes first aid kit’s a good idea to have anywhere as anything that can happen. Haven’t you ever accidentally sliced your finger making dinner? Children hurt themselves all the time, and are in constant need of band aids, Neosporin and alcohol swabs and the whole nine yards--they attract injuries, and first aid kits have all the makings to make things better and keep small cuts from turning into huge scars or even worse--huge infections.
There is no first aid advice that anybody could give you that would make things safer without a first aid kit. There are however first aid classes available on the web and in your local area that you can look into if you would like to arm yourself with better resources pertaining to first aid and the things that you can do in the event of an emergency.
